50% to start, 50% on launch. Projects over $10,000 are split into three milestones.

Pilot guarantee

Portfolio
Everything is private by default. We only show your work, name your company or quote results with your written approval, using sample data only, and you review it before it is published.
Ownership
You own the project code and files we deliver once paid in full. Details below.

The fine print

In plain words.

Turnaround
New enquiries get a reply within one working day, and a fixed quote follows within 48 hours of the scope call. During a project, small changes within the agreed scope are on staging by the end of the next working day; bigger changes get a written estimate within 24 hours. Full delivery follows the timeline in your quote.
Pilot guarantee
A pilot is one landing page, microsite or small tool, with its scope and an acceptance checklist written into the quote. You provide final designs, content and access before we start, and feedback within two working days of each preview. If what we deliver doesn't meet the checklist after one round of fixes, we refund everything you paid for the pilot. The guarantee doesn't cover scope changes after signing, delays from missing content, access or feedback, or third-party costs such as hosting, plugins and licences.
Ownership
On final payment, you or your client own the project-specific code, designs and content we deliver. We keep the tools and reusable components we built before or outside your project, and you get a permanent, royalty-free licence to use them as part of it. Open-source software stays under its own licence, and paid licences such as fonts, plugins and hosting are set up in your or your client's name. Our own products, like Editor's Village, are licensed separately.
Previews
Staging previews show work in progress for you to review and comment on. They are not production-ready until we mark a milestone complete and you sign it off.
Timelines
The clock starts when the quote is signed, the deposit is paid and we have the designs, content and access listed in the quote. If feedback, content or access arrives late, the timeline moves by the same number of working days. If we are running late for our own reasons, we tell you as soon as we know, with a new date.
